Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Legal Secretary to join a national law firm in Downtown Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work model (4 days in office/1 day remote).

The Legal Secretary's responsibilities include:

  • Assembles and handles confidential and sensitive information. Resolves issues involving internal and external clients by phone or in person.
  • Responsible for substantive edits and preparation of client bills.
  • Maintains calendar of meetings, appointments, business travel, and special events.
  • Coordinates meetings, conferences, or special events and prepares related materials.
  • Composes and formats legal documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Collects, enters, and edits time for client billing.
  • Coordinates domestic and international travel and expense reimbursements.
  • Prepares firm communications and presentations.
  • Screens telephone calls and routes appropriately.
  • Opens, sorts, and distributes mail.
  • Assists firm leadership and attorneys with administrative tasks.
  • Maintains physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Understands firm policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of administrative experience
  • High level of client service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Professional, ethical conduct.
  • Working knowledge of legal terminology.
  • Typing speed of 80 wpm.
